SOARING ON GOD’S WINGS

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

“As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the Lord alone led them.” (Deuteronomy 32:11-12)

An eagle is a majestic and powerful bird soaring high in the sky. It returns to its nest, where its young ones are nestled. The eagle begins to stir up the nest, encouraging its young to take flight. At first, they might be afraid and unsure of their own abilities. But the eagle knows something they don’t—within them lies the power to soar.

In the same way, our almighty God is like that eagle. He stirs up our nests and our comfort zones and leads us to the edge of new challenges and opportunities. Sometimes, it feels like we’re being pushed off a cliff into nothing but air. But here’s the good news: God does this so we can discover the incredible, untapped potential within us. He knows we can fly, rise above any situation, and achieve heights we never thought possible.

When God brings us to a place of difficulty, it isn’t to harm us. It’s to show us that we are stronger, braver, and more capable than we realize. And just like the eagle, if we face extraordinary peril, God is right there, ready to swoop beneath us and carry us skyward on His mighty wings. Isn’t that a comforting thought? No matter how high the cliff, no matter how strong the wind, God is with us, guiding us, supporting us, lifting us.

Maybe today, you’re standing at the edge of your own precipice. Maybe you’re facing something that seems impossible to overcome. Remember this: God’s got you. He knows your potential. He knows your strength. And He’s guiding you every step of the way. He never abandons us. He never leaves us to face our trials alone. When God places a burden upon you, He places His arms underneath you.
